Benfica Sign Enzo Pérez
Perez signed to a five year contract from Estudiantes for $3.5Mill. Looks like he will be Salvio's replacement. Lets hope he can do the business for us like he for Estudiantes in this video...

This guy has some amazing highlights, very similar moves that Salvio pulled this season. The thing I noticed is that he seems very flexible to play on either the right or left.

Hope his signing doesn't compromise Salvio's possible transfer. We need both of these quality wingers because we have 0 at the moment, talking about wingers let alone quality.

Hope to see exciting football from this one :)

no quality wingers?

I respectfully disagree... What about Nico, Rodrigo, Urreta, and Yartey? Jara can play outside and Nolito as well by the looks of the clips ive seen... The one article I read about young Enzo said we are likely to send him right back out on loan... Id be more worried about the striker situation if I were you. Cant speak for others, but I have NO faith in Kardec, and Saviola has been very disappointing as of late. If Cardozo is sold, LFV better have some answers. Or else we start the season most likely with Jara and Nolito up front. Two midgets (one unproven) and no physical presence. Hope Nelson O is ready to play!

Initially we paid $3.5Mill for 50% of Perez's rights, but we got the full 100% after giving Estudiantes more money. So all together we roughly paid Estudiantes $8Mill for little Enzo lol. Lets hope he can do the business and make us somewhat forget about Salvio :(

I just realized something. Didnt Enzos team, Estudiantes, win the club world cup last year or some other big tourney? Wonder if he contributed?

They also won the Clasura in 2010 I think, and Enzo has been an integral player for their side for a while now, so he must have contributed fully.

Not a done deal apparently. He arrived in Lisbon yesterday and still no official word. Could this have to do anything with it?

I haven't been following this one as closely but when I read the articles on him they are written as if he's already on the team but I haven't seen an official announcement yet.
