If he can help keep clean sheets then he will be one of us.....the signing gives a bit of meaning to the Europa League final now

You know I used to go on this website called Goal.com to catch up on the latest Futebol news a lot, but I haven't been visiting that site too much lately and here's a good reason why...First article is from Goal and the second one is from ABola. Now tell me which article is pure BS...
"I Will Not Leave for Benfica Despite Defeat to Porto" - Artur
"What Kind of Player Wouldn't Like to Join Benfica" - Artur

Lol I can't agree more. They come out with some fun articles but their transfer stories are a joke.

Roberto is probably worried about his spot on the team. Just loan him out for next season. Or why don't we loan out Moreira for once?

Good point, we maybe should have loaned out Moreira once!

Good luck to Artur.

Artur is going to start no doubt now.
I persoanlly would not mind Roberto being the number 2 or 3 with Moriera the other choice.
That leaves Julio Cesar who I think will benefit more by being loaned out

Artur on the Rader of the Brazilian NT
I think he deserves to be one of three goalkeepers for the Brazilian NT. His shown his abilities for Braga last season and now his doing greater things for us this year. I'm just glad Artur doesn't make the Benfiquista's hold their breath when a ball is crossed into our area anymore. So far, so great. Keep up the good "King Artur" :up

Great keeper that has made the most amazing saves for us. No doubt that he deserves to be in the Brazillian NT. Good to have someone between the posts that make us benfiquista's more calm during opposition attacks.

Not only that imagine the leverage we have on a player that we want to sign to our club.

"we can build you to the player you want to be and also have a shot at being in your national squad"

You can just present them the list!

David Luiz
Ramires
Fabio Coentrao
Carlos Martins (goes back to NT after a long spell)
Nico Gaitan
Angel Di Maria
Oscar Cardozo
Maxi Pereira
Luisao

There was even a time when Sidnei was on Brazil's radar also!

I honestly think that's why guys like Nolito came to Benfica instead of resigning with Barca. If a player does good on our team they tend to be NT quality and if they transfer out it's for a big money move to a Real or Chelsea.

I think Rui and LFV have been very smart with our transfer policy over the past couple of years. Younger players now want to come to our club as it could mean hitting the big times. Also our club has been cashing in huge the past couple of years. This will help us with the new UEFA financial rules.

Hopefully, soon we can add guys like Nelson O, Rodrigo Moreno, Wass, and Carole to that list!!! BTW, me thinks that Witsel and Matic are also on their respective NT's. IF not, they should be... Garay too... For as good as Argentina's attack and midield is, that back line is ever shaky!!! Also, was just getting the warm fuzzies thinking about Luisao tearing up a the medal ceremony for Brazil back in 09 when beat the US to win the Confederations Cup!!! I'm American and I couldn't have been happier for the big fella!!!!! Anyway, back to King Artur-and after watching poor Roberto get tortured and helplessly toasted by Real earlier today-boy am I glad that we have not one, but three great keepers!!! But Artur has been absolutely incredible for us. Much appreciated Brasileiro!!!

BTW-not even Artur could have stopped the onslaught by Real today. Mourinho needs to take his foot off the gas and chill out a bit...

So you guys think that the Artur to Milan holds any weight? I think its gonna have to be a really good deal to knock benfica off their feet to give up their #1 keeper.
