I’ve never been a fan of putting on past players on new jerseys (just looks a little off) but this time I don’t think it’s bad idea. This is jersey is supposed to be a remake of the one he wore when we won our second European Cup. If anything I think this is one of the few points in time putting a past player would work really well.

So to recap, instead of narrowing my choices, I’ve increased them lol. Kidding aside I really like the Eusebio idea.

nah dont put eusebio on it. we have so many great players who deserve to be on your jersey :D

just go with javi, luisao, maxi, nolito, or nico.
for me personally i would probably take aimar #10 or saviola #30 because i love those little tricky argentines :)

Alright the order is in. I got the #9 Nolito. This guy just showed so much potential this pre-season and I'll be proud to have #9 on the back. Also picked up a bit more baby gear as my first child should be here in Nov and a Benfica robe as a gift for the old man.

I’ve started thinking that Nolito will be a good shirt choice, because if he showed how good he is in pre-season, just imagine how good he will be in the champions league as well as in the league. He looks like he will be better than Di Maria was. :benficaflag

Well the shirt I got in December At Benfica Mega store doesn't have numbers or names. For the new shirt I want to get, it's a 50-50 chance of getting number/names or not.

I am seriously considering not having a name printed on my jersey this season for a number of reasons......

Main one been if I buy a printed jersey I have to buy through SLB official site and the shirts are expensive there at 77 euros, then add in the 12.20 euro for personlisation and finally the 22 euros for postage means a whopping great 111.20 euros (approx £98) :shock1

If I buy from adidas.com in the UK I can get it for £50 plus postage

I got it from the Benfica site but I also ordered a few other items there so the shipping cost isn’t as bad considering the items I’m getting. The main issue I would have had with Adidas is that they will not ship to Canada from the UK or US site. Canada is a bitch when it comes to this type of stuff and most of the times if there is a Canadian store (adidas, nike, etc…) they will ban block any shipping to Canada to force you to go to the Canadian versions. Issue is that they don’t offer half the goods you can get in the US or UK.

Nice touch for me......

Lots of former players are honoured by fans wearing their names on the back of shirts, even players who have sadly passed away.

Benfica Home Shirt Size M

Postby Belgianbenfiquista » Fri Nov 11, 2011 3:24 pm

Hi guys,

I wanted to buy a home shirt of Witsel today! But in de Online Megastore they don't have a M anymore.
Does anyone know if they wil reappear?

And just for the record, is there anyone who can tell me something about the sizing of the shirt? Are the sizes of last year the as this year? Or is a M of last year bigger/smaller than a M this year?

Thanks a lot guys!!!!
